When Jack returns home, his mother is furious and throws the beans out the window. Overnight, a giant beanstalk grows outside their window, and Jack decides to climb it. At the top of the beanstalk, Jack finds himself in a giant’s castle, where he meets a giant named Grumbald (Ian McShane). Jack also meets a beautiful giantess named Gwendolyn (Emily Browning), who is kind and gentle.
However, things take a turn for the worse when Jack discovers that the giants are planning to invade the human world.
